    (1) There's a buy and sell section.
    (2) What sound are you looking for that you can't get with the AA?

    got an amplifire at guitar center to try out, three weeks later I bought the AA12. a couple weeks after that I sold my kemper. amplifire just has that amp feel, sound and it responds to gain and volume controls, takes pedals better, etc. nowhere near the effects or amp selection of the kemper but, the core tone is what I have been searching for. but, I guess everyone has a different idea of what they want sound wise.

    You think the Amplifire has better sound and feel over the Kemper? I disagree. I've had both, and absolutely love the Kemper. It does everything the AA did and so much more......for the price, it should.

    the kemper would have to sound like... 5 atomics.

    That said, I love my AA12. Original question stands. I can get just about any tone I desire out of the atomic.

    @Buddy calling on ya to answer what you're looking for sound wise, it might just be a matter of the right IRs

    @mollydyer

    i am more a clean tone player like a telecaster with a little bit of the compressor
    and bit more sustain for the picking.
    and i can't handle the compressor.
    I need to have a 2 regulator compressor and thats it.
    and i do not want to use an external pedal when i have a pedalboard
    I love the handling of the aa12 but i cant get along with the sound
    that is the conflict i am in

    I stand by what I said about the kemper. but, I should clarify that I do not use any IR's. I am learning to hate them. I have yet to find one that is transparent. they all seem to have a weird frequency that lays over the tone. if somebody knows of a transparent and wide open one please let me know. in defense of the kemper, it for some reason does not share that problem with an IR for some reason. kemper must use a different algorithm or something because most sound open, transparent and great! in spite of that and all the ways you can change the sound in ways I never thought possible it just never had an amp feel to me and I never bonded with it despite the amazing sounds. the atomic amplifire excels at sounding and feeling like an amp. good and bad. turn off the cab on a kemper and it does not pull it off like the amplifire. plus, the damping control on the amplifire to me is a wonderful feature. plus, if an amp needs tweaking the cab block includes a filter which works great! I wish atomic would add additional parameter controls to that amazing feature. love it. finally, the kemper is way over priced as is the axe fx.... and, the prices are dropping fast which is another reason I sold it. most likely in large part because of amazing products like the amplifire.

    You realize the cab block in the atomic is just an IR, right? They are from Ownhammer.

    I assume you missed the Definition and power sagging parameters in the Kemper amp block? The Atomic is excellent for the money but doesn't hold a candle to the Kemper.

    does not hold a candle to the kemper? I had the kemper for 2 1/2 years. I am very familiar with it and all of its parameters. all I can tell you is what my ears are hearing. Amplifire does not have anywhere near the range of the kemper but, for me, the core tone of amplifire and the amp feel is what I prefer. I just wish IR's would work on the amplifire as good as they do on the kemper. unfortunately, they do not.
