Greetings to all, wonder if anyone had same problem which suddenly happened to my AA3.
Sound has become harsh and fizzy, someone have described it good here on the forum saying it is sort of springy. It is not extreme, but definitely unplesant and basically not usable, especially distorted patches.Cleans though degraded, but not that bad.
Happened all of a sudden.Trying to work it out, i have installed newest beta 4.1.2 firmware without any result in sound getting back to normal.Any ideas what can be done to fix the problem?

    cheers,

I had the same issue after emailing Mr.King and trying all suggestions I ended up shipping it back to be repaired. The way I knew for sure it was wrong was playing through headphones

I think my unit has developed a similar problem too, after a year of use. The output from the line out and xlr became fizzy and very unpleasant sounding. Only the headphone output sounds fine. So it's basically unusable for me.

Did your problem ever get fixed?

    Thanks.

I should add that the unit is only moderately used, never abused. I tried upgrading firmware, changing settings. Didn't help.

It feels like a hardware issue as the headphone output sounds fine. It's ashamed as the unit has served me really well thus far...

    Hi Jace,

I have the same problem with my AA. I've red all items in this forum to find a solution. What I don't understand is how often you reply to e-mails regarding problems like this. Why don't you post your suggestions here so other people besides the e-mailer can maybe learn something from it?

I have the same sound degradation as another member posted here and added some zipped mp3 files. Exact the same distortion on top of the signal. It fades aways after the sound level gets down to a certain point where I can hear a nice sound without the sound degradation. I thinks it is hardware related. My unit is just over 2 years old so no more waranty. It runs the latest firmware. If it is hardware related, could you point me in the right direction so I can check some things?

    Carl3o3,
Daniel had sent an E-mail about his issue and I had already replied to it when I came across his post.
Daniel's issue was that his Global CAB IR assignment was set to NONE instead MAIN and/or AUX.
The CAB IR is always on for the headphones.
Please check your Global setting for the cabinet assign and make sure yours is set properly.

On the GLOBAL page of the editor make sure the CABINET OUTPUT is set to BOTH.
Make sure POWER AMP MODELING is ENABLED.
    See the attached image.
Let me know if this solves your problem.
