    Hey guys,

since some weeks i am a proud owner of an Atomic Amplifire 12.
Right now i use my Axe FX 2 XL+ with OwnHammer IR`s in a live situation.
One XLR to FOH with OwnHammer IR (mixed cabs!), secondary output without CAB to MatrixGT1000 power amp to any box available live.

My question is: based on your experience, which IR is more suitable for a metal band live gig with 2 guitars on stage ?
I have the choice between single cabs with a single mic in a dedicated postion vs. blended cabs/blended mics for more massive sound.

Thank you in advance for any best practices from your side on this topic !

Is there a reason to not use the same IR's you've been using live with the Axe FX 2 XL+?

My own experience with using Ownhammer IR's live is that a single SM57 (or SM7) will replicate what most live venues do (use a single basic mic on the cab) but I really like some of their mixes eg. OH-1. I don't play metal but I'd be tempted to try their JPL mixes (based on John Petrucci's living mic setup).

I've never felt the need to explore beyond the Quick Start folder with their packs.
