I was struggling with this model as it is imo the toughest one to make sound right for the DT tone at least (I got close to JP's sound with the recto but I wanted this one) and I think it's pretty good now so I thought I might share it. I'm adding a "lead" mode with slightly different EQing.
I just tried these out and i'm loving it, just had to tweak it a little to better fit my guitar setup.
a track with the above presets used no doubletracking only 3 stereo tracks coming from the AA6 (rhythm - lead - clean) sorry for mistakes each track was 1 take and done quickly
I think I read in an interview that the Awake tone was a V-twin pre into a power amp panned to one side, and a recto panned to the other side. It wouldn't be the top of my list for DT tones (it worked well for those songs though). My favorite would be Systematic Chaos tones.
i think they quad tracked that album half with the rectifier setup and half with the IIC+ i just tried to get close to the general tone of the era and more specifically of the song innocence faded (above) which i made the patches for. and to familiarize myself with the mark iv model which was a bit tricky to tweak (as the original amp also is)
