Hi peeps! So good to be back. Had some serious family situations to tend to, and still am. My FIL passed last August 2019 and my MIL has moderate-advanced Dementia/Alzheimers, so I was driving back and forth every weekend between two states for many months while my wife was up there, until we both planted it up here for MIL's managed care.... 2 acres and the situation itself has been pretty intense, but we're thankful we could both be here for her full-time...no time for music, etc.....and TODAY I got out the AmpliFIRE-12....FINALLY...last time was in April of 2020 if I recall.

I still find this unit shockingly GOOD, and have stumbled upon a user error situation that was causing inconsistent gain situations in crunch patches in the past.....now that it seems to be sorted (thank GOD) now I want to tackle the noise reduction on the various patches. Been using CB-1 FRFR studio headphones for quiet monitoring. Sadly, I had to pass-up my place in line for a CLR when my name came up due to timing/logistics/car in the shop; and later on, I acquired a 12" powered FRFR (not the CLR) but another brand that, the few times I used it, was surprisingly GOOD.

So tonight was a bit of getting reacquainted up here out of state from where we came from. Was fun tonight & can't wait to do more....but right now we have my MIL to care for, so we'll see how that pans out. Wanted to say "Hi" and that I'm looking fwd to more music. Next stop is hooking the 12 to my laptop and editor.

    Good to see you all!

So sorry to hear about your family issues. I wish you the best of luck with that.
I hope the AF12 and some guitar playing can relieve some the stress.
    Cheers,
    Jace

Thanks, Jace. i know many others have issues, and many have gone through (with a parent) what we are right now.

Really looking fwd to getting the noise reduction dialed-in for my presets. The pickups in my Silver Sky are the quietest true single-coils I've ever experienced - even with high gain mind you; having said that, I think things will clean up amazingly when I get this dialed and I'm looking fwd to the improvement. I was about to shop for an outboard solution and then i remembered "it's already in there" hehe. time to hook up the editor!
