So I just purchased MBRITT’s presets. Zip file is saved in Downloads and Desktop on my MiniMac. When I go to import them on Amplifire Editor, my MiniMac doesn’t allow me to import that zip file. I’m still new to the computer editing on guitar processors. Any help would be very much appreciated

    Hi
You need to unzip the file first to then access the different presets from within the resulting folder

I'm having a similar problem. I just purchased a new Amplifire 3 pedal. Like ALL digital modelers (except my truly simple, original Line 6 POD which had a really sweet JTM 45 model until after several years the tone went away and was replaced by distortion, and I mean the bad kind) I'm not having any luck with the Amplifier. No good tones and a little background static/distortion. I ordered the MBRITT presets pack and I can't figure out how to access them. When I first opened the file/ import menu option a message asked me if I agree to use only IR impulses that I owned. I checked yes. Was that a mistake? When I click on import, I only see and import a few of the user patches I downloaded from the patch exchange. And they don't sound very good. Commenters in the forum thought they sounded good, so whats my problem? I can't see the MBRITT presets I purchased or the Amp Factory and Singtall presets I downloaded from Atomic. I saw this post and thought maybe you meant to drag and drop them. No luck. This unit is the end of the line for me. If I can't get it to work I'm quitting music. And I'm not joking. The frustration of years of chasing low volume tone is killing me. I have other creative outlets with a MUCH greater satisfaction to frustration ratio!

All of these preset files must be organized in folders so you can find them. Example, on your desktop you could have a AF Presets folder. Inside you should have folders with names of the different preset libraries that you've downloaded. (The Amp Factory, Singtall, Mbritt, etc.) Then in the editor go to FILE-IMPORT PRESET FROM FILE. Then you select the preset you wish to load from those folders. You have to load presets "ONE AT A TIME!" So you can either load them all one at a time, or pick a handful to try and just load them one at a time. By the name of the presets, you should be able to choose the ones you might like. In the editor on the AMP block, make sure the POWER AMP MODELING is enabled. on the CAB block you can enable the cabinet modeling on either or both of the outputs. It can be set to NONE, MAIN, AUX and BOTH. Just make sure the one that you want to use is enabled.

I do have the presets in folders. The problem is, when I open the folder from the file/import menu option, it's empty. Except, as I said, there are about a half dozen preset that I downloaded from the patch exchange. And at least on my unit, they don't sound very good.

So you can see all of the presets in the folders, but when you try to access those folders via the editor the presets are not visible? When you look at the folders on your computer do the preset files have .pre as the suffix? If not, what do they show?

In the folder on my computer, .pre appears after the name of the preset. In the file type column after the name it appears as PRE, When I open file/import from the editor and open the folder where the presets are stored, it is empty. It shows nothing with the exception of about eight presets I downloaded from the file exchange. The MBRITT, Amp Factory and Singtall folders/presets along with several other presets I downloaded after following links on the preset exchange can't be seen. I see them when I open the folder on my computer but not with the editor.

I was out of town for a few days so I just now (Sat. 10-14-17) had a chance to try your download and update the firmware as you suggested. Still the same result. Could my unit be defective? Can it be exchanged. I sent two emails requesting authorization to return for a refund but like others I am now seeing online, I have had no response. What is the problem. Please help me resolve my issues with either a fix or a refund. I can't afford to just eat a $600.00 loss.

    1. Extract the files.
    2. When you go to import the presets in the editor; BROWSE TO THE LOCATION WHERE THE EXTRACTED PRESETS ARE LOCATED.

File management issues and operating system navigation issues are not Atomic's fault. When you are double-clicking on the downloaded folder; I am betting you are double-clicking on the compressed folder. Those presets cannot be imported until they have been extracted.
