If you could add just 1 amp to AmpliFIRE what would it be?

I’m using a Joyo American Sound in the effect loop of my AF12 for fender sounds (a 40usd noisy chinese pedal), and a EHX soul food in front of it for boost. I wish I could just use onboard models instead.

I can’t get rid of the latency of plugins, it’s almost unnoticeable, but its there and I don’t enjoy playing with it.

If you look at the clips/videos made by users of AF, 95% are Metal players, the reason it’s clear, the clean models are not good enough. It’s a pitty because the AFB could be exactly what a Jazz, country, soul, etc guitar player ever dreamed.

Welp, guess I'm okay with not good enough clean models. I spend majority of my time on the Deluxe, Master on 10, gain on 5, using either the TS or the Clean Boost (or my external drive pedals) using the free Allure 1x12 IR these days.

Personally I don't have a problem with a clean tone. I use the Fender Twin model with some delay and it sounds great. I actually prefer it to the tone I can get from many of the higher gain models. As I suggested earlier, if I had a decent range of quality overdrive and distortion pedals, I'd probably only use a handful of the amp models.

I tried the Allure 1x12 deluxe IR, It was an important improvement and I was using before an ownhammer DLX cab!

Thanks a lot Wyatt for the tip!

    Cheers

Engl Savage or Fireball would be a nice High Gain addon IMO. Also I'll give my vote for the Diezel VH4!

I'm so happy with Friedman BE, that I don't "have to have" any other mid gain Amps.

For cleans... That is a hard one. Probably I would just like to have some updates for the ones we have.

Love this. The answer to "Add one amp to AA" is "Add one amp to AA" - I'd LOVE dual amp capabilities. That'd be awesome :)

My top choice would be a Hiwatt (high headroom squeaky clean up to Live at Leeds type grind)

After that my choices would be (roughly in order):

    Ampeg SVT Bass amp
    Orange
    Supro
Other Vox/EL84 styles (trainwreck, matchless, bad cat etc)
    Deizel VH4
    JTM45
    Bogner Ecstasy
    Bogner Shiva (both channels)
    Tweed Twin or Deluxe
    Carvin Legacy (both channels)

Dual amp and/or dual cab would be really cool too!

A Mesa Boogie Lonestar would be amazing for me, or a Marshall JVM.

A hearty "YES!" to that. Nice and thick and chunky with no high end hash found in some other modded Marshall types.
