I'm sorry to seem like a dummy, but I've never used MIDI before.

All I want to do is connect my AA3 to a Decibel 11 Switch Dr. And all I need it to do is assign banks and presets.

Can someone walk me through this? Or is there a video I could watch?

    Thanks in advance.

If you know the midi codes sent from your unit, just put them into the AA.

If not, use a utility, like MidiOx ( http://www.midiox.com/ ) to find out, and put them into the AA

The AmpliFire defaults to OMNI mode, meaning it will accept MIDI messages on all 16 MIDI channels.
So you shouldn't have to do anything with the AmpliFire. You'll just have to read the manual for your MIDI controller so you can send the proper program changes to access the presets you want in the AmpliFire.

Never mind! Called Eleven Decibel and the guy was super friendly. Walked me through the entire process and even waited on the phone while I did it myself to be sure.

I'm all set and ready to go!

Hi, I'm a new member. I've had an AA3 for quite some time and love it. however I've recently acquired a Midi Mongoose and it doesn't link up with the AA3. The lights come on but it doesn't switch presets when I hit the buttons. The AA3 is set to A/B and Midi (Omni).
    Any help greatly appreciated.
I'm new to forums, if I've placed this post in the wrong place please don't hesitate to advise.

If I were you, I would call Tech 21 and see if they could walk you through the process. I did it yesterday with Decibel 11 and it was super easy once I knew what to do.

Sounds like you just have to set up the pedal to work with the AA.
