You cannot access the TUNER via MIDI.
You cannot assign the TUNER to a foot switch.
However, if you have a foot switch assigned to an FX on/off, loop on/off,
tap tempo or bypass all you can hold that foot switch down for one second
to activate the tuner. Pressing any foot switch will exit the tuner function.
In the GLOBAL settings you can assign the outputs to mute or be active when
    the tuner is on.

Copy all. Just an idea, though, that having the next firmware allow a CC map to the tuner (on and off) would allow for an easy toggle from any midi controller without having to remember a particular footswitch, etc.

To be clear, this is not a request to have the tuner call "display" on the midi controller (like the Fractal and Helix do) - that would require a bit more complex software revision. Mapping a CC to the tuner function (on and off) is really just adding two pointers to the default midi list - this seems like an easy way to accommodate multiple setups and user preferences without much (if any) development or programming cost.

You know, the more I think about this, the more I think a small midi-focused 'point' release on the firmware would be fantastic and super easy to program/deploy. For example:

    - Assign the tuner function a CC (again, no need for midi controller display or anything crazy like that) - allowing midi controllers to activate and deactivate the tuner function remotely.
    - Add the functionality for pushbutton 6 on the AA6 (or any pushbutton, for that matter - keeping it easy to implement from a programming perspective) to toggle between two fixed presets (not the 1/6 kind of thing - but a "choose two presets to toggle between" logic).
    - Fix, of course, the broken midi CC functionality for the pitchshifter message (already acknowledged as not working by Atomic).

This simple point release would add a ton of flexibility - especially for AA3 and AA6 users. As an example, PBs 1-5 could be assigned toggle logic (1/6, 2/7, etc.) and then PB 6 could be assigned two presets that would always be available, no matter what bank you navigated to with your midi controller. Perhaps that could be your bread and butter clean tones, or if you're more into ambient stuff, these could be atmospheric presets always available as color to augment your gig-ready bank of straight-ahead presets. The tuner could be activated from the controller, of course - freeing up all the PBs on the unit for preset selection within the current bank (plus, of course, the two additional always-ready ones).

This would really streamline the way the AA integrates with midi controllers in a live performance context, and it wouldn't require any additional modeling or parameter control alterations - basically it comes down to some midi housekeeping and the development of an A/B fixed preset selection option to assign to an onboard F/S.
