I bought an EV-30 (dual expression pedal) to use with my AF12. When both EV-30 outputs are connected to Expression A and B of the AF12, I'm seeing weird, "jerky" tracking in the AF12. This does NOT happen when only one of the EV-30 outputs is connected. Previously, I was using 2 physically separate expression pedals, both EV-5s, and did not see this odd behavior. I have checked the cabling, which all reads OK, and I have run the AF12 recalibration routine several times, and even though the routine completes successfully, there has been no change, I still see (and hear) the jumps in expression position. Bottom line, when both EV-30 expression outputs are connected, the AF12 reads them oddly. It does not do this when only one of them is connected. Is this something that could be an AF12 bug? I would appreciate any input on this before I return the EV-30. Thanks. - Tom Hyzy
Tom, I know a few people that use the EV30 with the AF12 with no problems. You might try exchanging it for another EV30. The only problems I've ever heard of with it were due to bad TRS cables. Best of luck, Jace
Jace, thanks for the reply. I tried switching out the TRS cables to rule that out, I don't think that's the issue. I'll sit down with it one more time to go through the possibilities, and see if I can narrow it down to the EV-30 or not. - Tom Hyzy
