So the problem goes like this:
I start the editor with everything connected correctly and it works just fine for like 5 mins (or maybe less), and then it seems that the USB ports stop functioning because, of course, AFB does not respond and either does my mouse!
I have to mention that I'm running the software on my laptop and I tried switching the USB port to which I plug AFB to. I'm also using a cooler for my laptop and tried usig the additional USB ports that it provides, but the problem persists!
I reset my laptop, erased the software and downloaded it again...it still won't work
PLEASE HELP ME, what should I do in this case?

    Alejandro,
Are using Windows 7 or above or Mac OS 10.9 or above?

If you're having trouble with your mouse too, then this sounds like a computer problem.
Does the AmpliFirebox work properly when it is not connected to the computer?
Are you using the factory power supply?

Well the thing is, I never had any issues with the mouse until I plugged the AFB.
It is working properly while disconnected from PC and yes, I am using the factory power supply

Try disconnecting everything from the USB ports except the AmpliFirebox.
Then open the editor and let me know how it works.

I did it and it worked! HOWEVER when I plug the mouse back, the problem returns.
Any ideas on what may be happening? because I also use the line6 POD HD500 editor on my laptop and never had any issues with it...

wait... so the mouse and the AA don't get along? You mentioned it's a laptop... why are you using an external mouse? does the trackpad work?

What brand/model of laptop is it?

The trackpad works fine, the thing is that I use my laptop almost as a regular desktop computer, and I got used to just using the mouse. It's an hp 15z I think (it's a standard laptop nothing fancy), but as I mentioned before, for some reason the system fails when the mouse and AFB are plugged in at the same time... x(

GOOD NEWS!!! I purchased a wireless mouse and updated the editor.
Now both units work fine, I don't know which one did the trick but problem solved! :D
