sadly it seems atomic is in a kind of hibernation. they have not said anything about namm and they havent released a product or even a firmware update for a year. and even the bass box which was to be released in april, it seems now very unlikely to happen. it's a pity cause they could "own" all that competition easily with their great tone

Atomic amp models are still head & shoulders above anything in it's price range. And while people go on about the Ampifire interface, I can say from personal experience the HXS was just as much a learning curve. Ymmv & all that...

@Jace Nuzback is there anything new you can talk about? As far as I've seen, you're not at NAMM, are you?

It would be nice to have a few Orange amp models added to the mix

I would like to request a few HIWATT models as well. Thanks for the consideration!

I love the tones from my Atomic and one of the things I like most about it is that I'm not paying a load of money for stuff I'll never use. It has fewer amp models and effects compared to the Helix but it's got everything I need. That being the case, the Pod Go looks VERY tempting. If all of the amp models and effects are straight from the Helix with a recording interface AND expression pedal built in, all for very similar money to the Atomic, then I think the Atomic will come under a LOT of pressure. Even I'd consider one of those if I was in the market to replace my AA6 and I'm a devoted Atomic user. That Pod Go looks stunning value!

    Tempting device!
Here are the FAQs. they are worth a read!
    https://line6.com/support/topic/53806-pod-go-faq/

Availability is april, so at least until then I will be happy with my AA6 :)
Price at Thomann is 499€, an AA6 is about 415€ from Andertons, so Atomic still has the advantage here.
But the pod Go has an expression pedal and audio interface and better screen...

Great times to be a guitar player :)

...but no dedicated xlr out, or midi, and less available 'blocks'.

I'm sure the pod go will be a great unit and will sell like hot cakes, but the AA6 is still a strong proposition nearly 5 years on....

That's an interesting thread. It doesn't appear to have the DSP power of the Atomic, which I assume would affect quality and there aren't the same number of blocks available. It is perhaps not quite for me. If they were to introduce a full Helix in this sort of stripped down format I'd certainly be very interested but this doesn't appear to be quite it. I really with Atomic had a built in expression pedal and a USB recording interface as it's crying out for both, especially when the competition has them.
