In having trouble with getting a good sound with some of the amp models like the Friedman and Cornford, I decided to look up the manufactures original manual for sample setting that they sometimes give. Friedman suggest starting out with these settings: Bass 10 , Mids 6, Treble 5, Pres. 5, Gain 8. and the Master volume only as loud as you need. Bingo. I would never think of turning the Bass on any amp up to 10 but it works here. Cornford suggestions are Gain 8, Bass 6, Mids 5-7, Treble 4, Pres, 5-7. Master 3-5, but the Cornford only sounded good to me when I switched to an Vintage Orange 4x12 IR.

Are those settings for BE or HBE on the Friedman?
