Microphone Placement simulation?

    Allow choice of "microphone" type and placement of that microphone in key locations on the "speaker". (e.g., center, near edge, edge).

    Not 100% sure how useful this will be (for me) and if I'll like the results, but it seems to be common feature of many modeler (even low end units). Not sure if this is an important feature (relative to many other, clearly important bug fixes and feature requests).

    As a workaround, there are software only solutions that let you generate a custom IR, but it's a slow, tedious process to test those out on the Amplifire (versus just changing a knob in the editor).

    That is exactly what IRs do. Record a track minus the cab, and test each IR in your DAW using a free IR loader. Find the ones you like, and put them on the AA.

    IR's can do that up to and until the point of modeling another placement. The question is, can we transform some IR's to model this delta?
