What would be the ideal threshold for the noise gate for hi-gain amps?

What I suspect you actually need (and may actually be asking for help with) is your DAW's noise gate. When recording, that's where you should be primarily managing noise.

The answer I shared from Jay Mitchell will help you to correctly set the gate in your Atomic. If you've still got unwanted noise after you've set that then it's coming from somewhere else in your signal chain.

Thanks guys, i'll try to look into my signal chain and maybe see where the real culprit lies...
