I'm going to buy an Amp Modeler/Effects pedal board, and after doing my research, the AmpliFIRE 12 is at the top of my list. I'm looking for a unit that will allow me to send a fully modeled signal (effects, Amplifier model, and speaker IR modeling) to FOH Pa, and allow me to send only effects to an on stage guitar amp. After reading the manual, and searching this forum, I'm not sure the AmpliFIRE 12 will do that. When I look at video tutorials for the editor, it seems to allow you switch on and off the speaker cabinet modeling at a given output. If I switch this off, will the amplifier modeling still remain in the signal? There's also a global switch called "Power Amplifier". It's not quite clear to me how this switch affects the signal. If this unit works for me, I plan to purchase it as soon as they get re-stocked. I am grateful for any info you can share.

You can bypass the CAB IR for the signal going to your guitar amp
while the CAB IR is active for the signal going to FOH.
Personally I think it sounds better with the CAB IR on for the guitar amp too.
You can globally bypass the power amp modeling.
This means that it will be bypassed on all outputs.
Personally I don't think you should ever bypass the power amp modeling.
It drastically changes the gain structure of your preset and
simply doesn't sound as good even if you were to feed
a tube power amp and speaker cab.
The AF12 should fit your needs perfectly.

@Anycaster I'm not aware of any way to do what you are suggesting as the amp block would be on or off for all outputs.

However I also don't understand what you're trying to accomplish with sending a modelled amp sound to FOH and an effects only signal to an on stage amp. Why would you want a different sound on stage to what is heard out front?

Most people that use modellers with on stage amps run their full signal minus the cab lock to the effects return (or at a push into the front of a clean amp). Although some people like to retain the cab modelling into their amp too.

Thanks for the replies! I just ordered an AF12, now that they are back in stock.
