Goal is to add MIDI CC control of more than two parameters. Thinking of these as "virtual expression pedals" might simplify the implementation and UI.

The AA allows you to control two arbitrary amplifire values by MIDI. These two values are selected by the current patch's expression mapping and are controlled by CC23 and C25.

The "idea" is to add virtual expression pedal "slots" which can be controlled by additional CC assignments (similar to the expression 1 and expression 2). These virtual expression "pedals" are not controllable via the hardware expression, but would otherwise act the same when changed via CC.

For example if I have Wah and Volume setup for an expression pedal 1 and 2, I could set expression #3 to map to delay time, expression #4 to reverb, expression #5 to low cut, expression #5 to high cut, ... and then control those via CC messages.

A dozen of these would be more than enough for most people, but just having a handful would be very powerful.

OK for this to only be editable via the Amplifire Editor (not the device LCD/encoder)

[Nope - Jace says 21/22 turn the pedals on/off.]

    I see that Amplifire has both explicit Wah/Vol pedal CC's (21, 22) and mappable Expression A/B CC's (23, 34).

Does that mean that we can already control 4 parameters via CC today: Wah, Volume, and two others (mapped to Expression A/B)? @Jace Nuzback.

That is, if I map expression A to Reverb and expression B to Delay Time, I can control those plus volume and wah at the same time via CC?

No. You can only use CC 21 and 22 to turn on/off those effect blocks.
You can only control two parameters via expression pedals.
Either using the dedicated expression pedal inputs or using
expression pedals with an external MIDI controller using CC 23 and 24.

    better yet

can save midi configuration per patch and have multiple cc slots to control what you want ,then you can control different cc in different patches. This helps when you want you pedal board to have things in the same place but control different values in different programs

Totally agree, I desperately need a control of more parameters via CC in Amplifire. Two is almost nothing, but the fact that there are two means that feature is already there and it just needs to be extended. Atomic please!

There are so many little tweaks to the AA that would make this device much more useful.

Shame as the hardest work has been done.
