It's been a long standing frustration for me that we don't all share presets more regularly on here. A while back I posted a thread asking people to post their best clean preset. Hardly anyone did, and several people came on and said things like 'why is it a competition', 'define clean, 'define best' etc.

So, a couple of questions, why don't you share your presets in here more regularly, and what would need to change to make you more willing to do so?

Every preset I use has an IR that I don’t have the rights to give away.

Yes, that's a big part of it I think. What if we shared the presets, but with a stock IR and a note of which aftermarket IR was originally used.

A bit of a pain as you'd have to save the preset to a new slot, change the IR and then upload it but it could be done.

I just came back to Atomic for the new AFBmk2 and I still see the same NOTHING going on here. I know its a simple product compared to an AXEFX but still fun to see how other folks presets sound. AND NOT pay for them every single time. I hope its not a re labelled MK1. So far the only amp that sounds different is a VOX. I wonder why it went up in price as well?

The Mark II uses the same core processor but we've had to redesign other aspects of the pedal due to a variety of reasons. When we came out with the original in 2017 it was pre 30% tariffs, pre component price increases, pre pandemic/global supply shortage. On top of it all it was already priced aggressively.

There are two new amp models. A new Deluxe and a new Top Boost. Plus ALL amp models have been improved.
The compressor was also completely re-done. For more details see the new product page: https://atomicamps.com/amplifireboxmkii/
If you think $200 more for the HX Stomp is a better match match for you, then that's what you should buy.

I don't share presets because I don't think my presets are worth. I just use the amp/cab and then have the option of extra drive, reverb and delay. I adjust the amp/drive settings depending on the guitar and room/stage. Very basic.

Considering it all I don't think anybody could have any interest in trying my presets.

Anyway I like people sharing whatever. Specially tricky effects and the like.

Oh, well, I'm using a Lowpass Wah. Very basic, too. And I'm trying some Ownhamer IRs I bought.

I initially wanted to not have to tinker with settings all day. I just wanted to download a bunch of presets from people who know what they are doing and cycle through until something sounded good. But I have found that there are just too many factors making it sound different by the time I try them. I think the guitar, specifically the pickups, changes the sound so much that it just doesn't make sense to try someone else's preset. Beyond that you have the room, the speaker, the playstyle, the rest of the band, and a ton of other factors making an impact as well. This became fully apparent to me when a guy posted a mock acoustic simulator here. Luckily he included a sample so I know he's not just a lunatic. He got his stuff to sound like an acoustic guitar, but when I downloaded it, it just sounded like nonsense. Like unplayable. I couldn't even tweak it because there was nothing to tweak it just sounded like a broken synthesizer. I think instead of asking people to post their presets, we should encourage more talk about what people did to get the sound to work. I'm sure you read Jace's post with the starting advice. That is the sort of thing that will help people, not posting a downloadable preset, even though its cool that the software allows that. I will post what worked for me in the future when I buy a FRFR speaker, but for now I'm not working on it because I'm just playing through a gaming headset for practice.

P.S. Don't worry too much about those dudes nit picking you calling for a competition and using the term "best." I read your original thread and it was pretty clear it was supposed to be a fun not serious competition and you just wanted to try some presets. Music people can be kinda... odd.
