Is there any difference is sound quality when using an XLR cable, rather than a TS 1/4 inch jack, when connecting an Amplifire to an FRFR speaker?

No. The XLR cable will just do a better job of rejecting noise.

Is it correct that the jack outputs are also balanced TRS?

    The 1/4" output are TRS.
So you could use balanced TRS cables to connect to your FRFR.
But the FRFR must have balanced TRS inputs to benefit from the balanced noise rejection.

So TRS balanced jacks to XLR are also an option, for anyone wishing to take advantage of it.
